Common Questions

Know before you start

What is PicChase?

PicChase is a real-world multiplayer photo scavenger hunt app. A host creates a game, shares a six-character game code, and participants photograph items or themes in Race, Timed, or Collection mode.

Is PicChase free?

PicChase is free to download, and no payment is required to start. Six free packs are included, custom lists are free, and groups of up to four player entries can play as many games as they like. Optional one-time purchases unlock individual packs or Premium features.

What does Premium include?

Premium is a one-time purchase that you keep permanently. It unlocks every challenge pack and unlimited player entries. Packs can also be purchased one by one. Current local prices are shown in the App Store and Google Play.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Players install the app and join each game with a display name and its game code.

How many people can play?

A free game supports up to four player entries with no limit on the number of games. Premium unlocks unlimited player entries. Larger groups can also form teams and use one phone per team.

Does every player need to install PicChase?

Each player entry needs PicChase on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device. A group can register as one team and share one phone, so a class of 20 might compete as four teams using four phones. The website is for information and support, not gameplay.

Which languages are available?

PicChase is available in English, Spanish, German, French, and Latvian. Custom text remains in the language written by the host.
